UMass Amherst Summer in Physical Theatre and Dance
This exclusive UMass faculty-led program (FLP) takes place over three weeks at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy, offering students the opportunity to earn 6 credits while immersing themselves deeply in focused training and artistic exploration at the world-renowned summer dance intensive. Here, students train and live alongside UMass faculty and peers, as well as an international community of educators and creative artists from around the world.

Situated in a historic hilltop villa, the Accademia provides modern studios and professional facilities that create an inspiring environment for technical development, choreographic growth, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This intensive program blends rigorous dance practice with vibrant cultural exchange—packed into one transformative month that will expand both your skills and global perspective.
