Student life
What will your time at the Accademia look like? We don't have a crystal ball, but we can certainly give you a good place to start dreaming!

Studying performing arts abroad
At the Accademia dell’Arte, your experience will be immersive, challenging, and truly transformative. You’ll join a vibrant, artist-centered community where process-driven training, collaboration, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. Each day is filled with movement, rehearsal, and meaningful dialogue, balanced by life in the Tuscan hills. This isn’t just a deep dive into your performance craft—it’s your chance to live, learn, and create in a new country, discovering Italy as both an artist and a traveler. Here, you won’t just build skills—you’ll grow as an artist, find your voice, and make connections that last long after the program ends.
Living
Students live in spacious dorm rooms on the top floor of the Villa Godiola or in the Casina located on the east side of the property.
They are organized as double and triple rooms and have primarily ensuite bathrooms.
There are three primary common areas. One is the living room located on the bottom floor of the Villa, another is located under the “loggiato” in the front garden, and the last one is the Limonaia located on the west side of the property where students can also store food for the weekend.

Dining
The Mensa is the heart of our community—a place where everyone gathers to enjoy delicious meals crafted with care by our renowned Chef Sara Barbara Guadagnoli and her team. Whether you’re savoring a cozy meal inside or dining al fresco in the sun-dappled back garden, every bite comes with a side of good company.

Our warm and welcoming staff are always happy to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and preferences, making sure there’s something for everyone at the table.
Working
There are 3 main studios in the Villa Godiola - Teatrino, Sala Danza, and Studio Rosso.
-
The Teatrino is a 90 msq performance space with wooden dance floor, stage lighting, stereo system, and windows with views of the city.
-
The Sala Danza is our main dance and performance studio. Equipped with audio and projection capabilities, this 80 msq space has a sprung dance floor with Marley overlay and windows that overlook the back garden.
-
The 30 msq Studio Rosso is a smaller rehearsal space with an upright piano located on the second floor of the Villa overlooking the back garden.
-
In the summer we also open Crawford Corner, which is a 64 msq outdoor performance space located in the lower garden.
-
In addition to the studios, there are versatile classrooms designed to accommodate a range of academic courses, the Teatrino roof that doubles as terrace and performance space with panoramic views of the medieval city and surrounding mountains, as well as the Mask Making Studio, which serves as a space for visual arts and practical mask making.
