Description
This course explores the intersection of spirituality, embodiment, and performance through the lens of Balinese Taksu traditions and principles of energetic awareness. Participants will investigate performance as a sacred and transformative act, engaging in practices that integrate spiritual discipline with artistic technique to deepen creative expression and presence.
A central component of the training involves working with a collection of uniquely crafted Balinese masks—pedagogical tools that facilitate both character exploration and personal development. Through these embodied methodologies, actors will cultivate vocal resonance, expand physical expressivity, and engage with diverse intercultural performance practices rooted in ritual and transformation.
Designed for both newcomers to mask performance and experienced practitioners, this course offers a rare opportunity to access new dimensions of creativity, authenticity, and spiritual depth within the performative process.
