Description
Designed for emerging and developing writers, the program emphasizes the principles of visual storytelling, dramatic structure, and character development within the contexts of film, television, and digital media. Participants engage in targeted writing exercises, structured workshops, and open lab sessions dedicated to both the refinement of existing projects and the development of new material.
The course culminates in the creation of an original micro-screenplay, which is subsequently workshopped in collaboration with actors from the concurrent Screen Acting Intensive. Through this process, students gain practical insight into the relationship between script and performance, strengthening their ability to write dynamic, producible screen narratives. By the end of the program, participants will have expanded their creative practice and acquired the tools to approach screenwriting with greater clarity, discipline, and expressive range.
