Yes

Description

This intensive course integrates the artistic and performative dimensions of mask work, offering students an embodied exploration of how design and performance intersect in theatrical storytelling. Under guided instruction, participants will create their own masks, investigating the relationship between form, texture, and expressive potential. Through this hands-on creative process, students will examine how masks can generate new modes of physical and vocal expression and expand the performer’s imaginative range.

Training includes physical exploration, improvisation, and archetypal character study, encouraging participants to move beyond habitual patterns and develop a deeper awareness of the body as an instrument of transformation. By combining craftsmanship with performance practice, the course cultivates a holistic understanding of the mask as both an artistic object and a dynamic vehicle for narrative and expression.
